Inner Wakefulness

This place is a dream.
Only a sleeper considers it real.
Then death comes like dawn
and you wake up laughing
at what you thought
was your grief.
 

The world is that kind of sleep.

Human kind is being led
along an evolving course,
through this migration
of intelligences
and though we seem
to be sleeping,
there is an inner wakefulness,
that directs the dream
and that will eventually
startle us back
to the truth of
who we are.

Paradox

"Lacking understanding, the average person seeks constantly to change the world.

At one with everyone and everything,

the sage finds no reason to change anything."

CONTENTMENT

"Contentment means the ability to count one's blessings.

It is perfect condition of life in which no additional aid is needed.

It is a constant state of being where one is satisfied with what one has 

and where one is."

All day I think about it, then at night I say it. 
Where did I come from,
and what am I supposed to be doing? 
 I have no idea.
My soul is from elsewhere, 
I'm sure of that, and I intend to end up there.
