'I am not, I will not be.
I have not, I will not have.
This frightens all children.
But kills fear in the wise.'
(Nagarjuna)
If I don't manage to fly, someone else will.
The spirit wants only that there be flying.
As to who happens to do it,
She has only a passing interest.
(Rainer Maria Rilke)
A new Olympic event  called "Paying Attention" ..
there he is, representing  geographic region #32
winning the gold  for fitting more life
into thirty seconds than anyone else .
How does he do it? the reporters ask—
"consciousness recognizing... opportunity as eternity
renders itself motiveless void of benchmarks,
life being boundless" .
The judges are there, using sophisticated intuition equipment (i.e. their hearts)
measuring each athlete's
heart range ..by degrees of a circle,
the more encompassed ,the more open and full ,
the deeper.. the more oceanic, the more beautiful ....
 closer to gold
(short zen poems)
Since everything is but an illusion,
perfect in being what it is,
having nothing to do with good or bad,
acceptance or rejection,
one might as well burst out laughing!
( Longchenpa)
"The agitations of the mind
are addictive.
Break that addiction
and see what the still mind sees.."

The meaning of life is not to be found in a distant world of abstraction,
but in paying attention to everyday happenings and details in one's life.
One's perception has to be in the field of living. ......
in contemplating where the truth may be found,
it just might be right before you.
(Yuezhou Quianfeng)

So what is the rush?

"The grass takes its time to grow and spread wide,
the way flowers blossom in lively colors, overnight,
the way tomatoes grow flaming red, and ripe,
the way the consciousness of a caterpillar takes time,
waiting, within the shell of a pupa,
before it is reborn as a beautiful butterfly.
There is time to everything.
But our compulsive mind always thrive to be faster and bigger.
What is the wealth that you keep stockpiling behind your fences?
What is the growth that you seek so bad in your greedy companies,
and what is the speed that you wildly chase in your doings,
to be the number one in everything....
to stand out among so many others?
There is time to everything.
Attune yourself to The Universal Flow, the way the nature does.
And see for yourself.
You do not need brute force to fulfill your destiny.
Effortless action, in perfect timing..
is all you need to Be."
"Like the weather, there are all sorts of conditions in our personal lives:
clear days, cloudy days, rainy ones, and stormy ones.
These are all waves produced by the power of nature and are not things over which we have control. No matter how much we fight against these waves, there is no way we can make a cloudy day clear up. Cloudy days are cloudy; clear days are clear.
It is only natural that thoughts come and go and that psychological and physiological conditions fluctuate accordingly.
All of this is the very reality and manifestation of life.
Seeing all of this as the scenery of life, without being pulled apart by it.......
is the stability of human life."

Enlightenment

"Enlightenment occurs when
there are no more "whens"
(short zen poems)

Humility

"Humility is perpetual quietness of heart. It is to have no trouble. It is never to be fretted or vexed, or irritable.......
to wonder at nothing that is done to me....to feel nothing that is done against me.
It is to be at rest when nobody praises me or when I am blamed or despised.
It is to have a blessed home in myself where I can go in and shut the door
and kneel to my Creator and Sustainer in secret and be at peace,
as in a deep sea of calmness, when all around  is seeming trouble."

Truth is a pathless land. Man cannot come to it through any organisation, through any creed, through any dogma, priest or ritual, not through any philosophical knowledge or psychological technique. He has to find it through the mirror of relationship, through the understanding of the contents of his own mind, through observation and not through intellectual analysis or introspective dissection.
J. Krishnamurti

"You'd trust water to evaporate.
So sit until thoughts subside.
Adding water does not aid evaporation.
So no need to help the mind."
