Flowers withers easily,
yet they never cease to bloom:
the water in the gully is constantly flowing,
yet the stream seems unchanging.
The meaning of life can be realized
in the process of living.
Change is the eternal truth.

Make-Up

Once a make-up artist asked the following question to OSHO:

Q: I’m a make-up artist in New York and I feel make-up can be used to spiritually enhance a woman’s natural beauty.... But I notice the women at the Meditation Resort don’t wear makeup.
OSHO : "Makeup is the invention of the ugly people. It is not that makeup is ugly, but makeup it self is the invention of the ugly. The ugly feels inferior as compared to the naturally beautiful. The ugly tries to compensate for it with artificial methods. The natural has no need to compensate. But naturally beautiful people are very few; hence makeup has become almost a routine thing.
For thousands of years, man has been trying to hide in every possible way all that is ugly in him — in the body, in the mind, in the soul. Even people who were naturally beautiful started imitating the ugly and the artificial, for the simple reason that the artificial can deceive. ...
Makeup, and the whole idea of makeup, is basically hypocrisy. One should love and accept one self the natural way.If you are false there, then why not pretend the same falsehood as far as mind is concerned? Then what is wrong in pretending to be a saint, a sage, when you are not? The logic will be the same.
And sometimes it happens that the pretender can defeat the real, because the pretender can practice, can rehearse, can manage and manipulate in many ways.
Nature can be improved upon. That’s what intelligence is for, but it should not be against nature. For example, the lips can be red through better food, through better exercise, through better medicine. That too is improving upon nature, but improving upon nature in a natural way. Putting on lipstick is cheap; it is not really improving. It is good for the stage.
Spiritual beauty has nothing to do with anything that can be done from the outside.Spirituality is our original face; it is the discovery of our intrinsic nature. It has not to be tampered with, it has not to be painted, it has not to be arranged. It is already there inside us. "

Acceptance

A man walks into a hair salon to get his hair shampooed and braided. The hair dresser, at first, takes it as a joke because the man has only three hair(s) on his head. Without saying anything, the hairdresser proceeds with his job. But before he finishes combing, one of the hair(s) falls off.

The hair dresser, instantly, apologizes out of embarrassment only to be surprised again as the man replies, “Don’t be worried. Now I just have to part my hair in the middle! No big deal!”
The hair dresser realizes that he has to be careful as the man has only two hair(s) remaining. He cannot mess up this time. As he was drowned in such thoughts while carefully trying to braid the hair(s), one falls out. OOPS! The hair dresser feels really bad and starts apologizing again, and offers a free service. But the man answers calmly.
“Oh! Well, don’t be worried. Now I just have to run around with my hair all ruffled up. No big deal! What to do? Such is the way.” This is the attitude of total authentic acceptance. The man is not even slightly bothered or upset that now he has only one hair left. Now, when you carry such attitude, you cannot remain miserable. Instead you are perfectly content and happy in whatsoever you have. The man had three hair(s); now only one. So what? He has embraced the situation with acceptance without any complaint or grudge.
I guess it may be really difficult these days to find such a person. Another man in that situation might sue the hair dresser and reap lots of money. Anyway, this is simply an anecdote, a joke, and may not be a reality. But it makes sense if we look into it deeply....(source:internet)

The Law Of Chaos And Order

"The Law of Chaos  exists when the observing mind cannot accept what is.....
The Law of Order exists when the observing mind can accept what is, regardless of the appearance of chaos...."

One Sample At A Time

"Concentrate all your thoughts upon the work at hand. The sun's rays do not burn until brought to a focus."
"A pathologist ran a popular laboratory to which hundreds of patients flocked to have their medical tests done.
On a particular day, the pathologist noted that one of his technicians had to analyze around 175 samples. He approached the young man and said to him sympathetically,"I see that you have to handle around 175 samples today. You must be feeling overworked.
"Quietly answered the technician," Sir, I handle only one sample at a time.I concentrate on the sample before me.I never feel overworked!"

Ecstasy

"Ecstasy is our very nature. Not to be ecstatic is simply unnatural and unnecessary. It needs no effort to be ecstatic.
It needs great effort to be miserable. That's why we look so tired, because misery is really hard work.
To maintain it, is really difficult, because we are doing something against nature. "

Peeking in to God's Mind

Everything we see that He created
Is peeking into God's mind.
Just Look at the things here on earth,
and in the universe too which we can find,
we are seeing the final results of His thoughts,
of everything He did and does today.
Let's give Him thanks for He created us too,
all you have to do is pray.
God's mind is a most magnificent thing,
Just look around and you'll see,
All the things that He thought of
and created, all miracles to be.
Every thing we see that He created..
is peeking into God's mind,
He is our Lord God Almighty,
He loves us all we find.

Conflict

"There has probably never been a time where there has been so much fear and conflict across the world, not just across oceans and borders but across the breakfast table. In fact many now prefer conflict to peace, as they become addicted to the actions of anger and aggression. They don't really want conflict to end.

In fact, they will say that some conflict is good to get things done and stimulate change. They are not aware that they are killing themselves. All conflict is simply a symptom of attachment to a position. And as we know, this generates fear, and fear, if allowed to stay, eventually kills it's host.

All solutions are based on detachment or letting go. But that will be difficult until we can see that all possession is an illusion, that we have nothing to lose and that there are no victories in winning."

One Light

"What are "I" and "You"?
Just lattices
In the niches of a lamp
Through which the One Light radiates.

"I" and "You" are the veil
Between heaven and earth;
Lift this veil and you will see...
How all sects and religions are one.

Lift this veil and you will ask --
When "I" and "You" do not exist..
What is mosque?
What is synagogue?
What is fire temple?"
