Simplicity

Our task is to strike a balance,
to find a middle way,
to learn not to overstretch ourselves with extraneous activities and preoccupations,
but to simplify our lives more and more.
The key to finding a happy balance in modern lives is simplicity.

  3. Agreed Surjit ji :-) Two names come to my mind, when I think of Simplicity: our own Mahatma Gandhi, and Ramana Maharishi. Both of them have left a deep impression in me by their simplicity.

Thanks a lot for sharing....missed reading your posts. How have you been?

  9. I remember a very dear friend and mentor once said, "live simply and you'll be happy. Life is more important than food and body more important than clothes. The birds of the air do not sow or reap or store way in barns, yet they live for they are heavenly fed. Are you not much more valuable than they?"

Choose to be free.... he who is not at peace with himself is necessarily at war with others.

Take care Surjit my brother & friend. You are worth more than many sparrows. God bless you always.

  11. Simplicity is indeed the key to happiness. The more we complicate our lives, the more we get entangled in the web of life and drift away from the little joys of life. Thanks for sharing such a noble thought.

  15. Simplicity means ease, and if someone is at ease he can achieve everything in his life. Simplicity is the only tool to live in this materialistic world and who is at ease we will follow his own paths to achieve his goals. Well said, Thnx for the nice post.
