Awakening

In spiritual life there is no room for compromise. Awakening is not negotiable. We cannot bargain to hold on to things that please us while relinquishing things that do not matter to us.
A lukewarm yearning for awakening is not enough to sustain us through the difficulties involved in letting go.
It is important to understand that anything that can be lost was never truly ours and anything that we deeply cling to only imprisons us.....(Jack Kornfield)g g g

  1. Hi Surjit! :)

    An interesting posting!

We need to sometimes let go to blossom and flourish spiritually and physically. This state of mind is unique to those wishing to seek higher awareness.

Bless you my friend and brother.

  3. how many of us actually let go in our lives? such an interesting lesson that it's not negotiable. it's easy when we want to do it on our terms. not so easy to say "i give you everything." ahh, well, we can keep on striving...

  7. No room for compromise....
I am not sure I kwow what that means for awakening purposes...Surjit do you think that we can do enough to become awakened? I am seriously asking this question.

  8. Yes, you are right Harmony. We have to be serious to get 'awakened'.
We can not afford to take the path of duality i.e. choose either this materialistic world or follow the Will of God.It is either 'I' or HE.
A 'lukewarm yearning'for both will not get us anywhere.
    God bless.
