Dilemma

Dilemma : State of uncertainty or perplexity:

"It is a state of mind where one is in doubt and duality prevails. There is an internal conflict in every effort or struggle.
Living life in this state of mind we gradually denigrate our true self.
We must, therefore, endeavour to rise above this dualistic state of mind to non-dualistic thinking.
This can be achieved by inculcating conviction in our thoughts and unshakable faith in the existence of God.
Once we embrace the Will of God in every sphere of life, duality comes to an end.
The root cause of duality is, thus, eliminated leading to inner peace and bliss."

There is no peace or bliss without faith in God.

Thanks Surjit for a beautiful post and a redirecting of my heart in challenging times of duality.

  5. Hello Surjit,
This aspect of having faith I have long since understood.

I no longer try to swim upstream. I know all things happen in God's time.

Even in tragedy we must look through and keep our faith. For surely Our Lord is trying to teach us a lesson.

I had a younger brother that only lived for 7 hours. My parents who adopted me were going to adopt him as well.

They wanted me to have a sibling. And they were thrilled that my sibling would also share the same biological mother.

Later in my life and my mother's life things were truly horrible.

You know much of my history. We suffered quite a bit and often times went with little or no food.

My mother was uneducated and when my father left us it was all she could do to survive with just me.

She often times remarked that she would not have made it if she had another child to tend for.

She always told me that even though it broke her heart at his passing....that God knew what would lie ahead for him had he stayed in this world.

I will never understand why it was I and not him that was chosen to stay here on earth.

But, there are so many things that I have not understood when they happened. And later, sometimes even years, I can look back and see why and where God was leading me.

Thanks for this wonderful reminder of the great and all knowing power of our Lord.
    God Bless you Surjit!!

  6. Hello Shinade,
I know you suffered a lot in the past. You have rightly said:
...'I no longer try to swim upstream. I know all things happen in God's time...'
And this is the ultimate reality. Sooner we realize this, the better it is for us.
But again, this reality dawns only on those humans whom He Blesses.
Thanks for sharing your experiences of life.
God be with you and your family always.

  7. What a simple tool - "EMBRACE", and yet so powerful.

Conflict & Struggle starts when I RESIST something.

HAVNG EMBRACED EVERYONE & EVERYHTING, there is no seperatedness & no "I" left.

Thanks, Surjitji, for inviting me to END the DUALITY in my life:-))

I have posted similar thoughts at http://unsee.blogspot.com/.

Our friend krishna says, "what a nice co-incidence." I say, there is there is no co-incidence:-)).

The soul desires to meet fellow-travellers and we all are co-creating intentionally these "co-incidences".

What an ecstasy in experiencing "sychronous" thoughts with so many blissful souls!

  9. When I think about it, it seems so silly that at times I insist on allowing my will to compete with God's, as if I am the one who is all-knowing. Your post points out what I wish could be obvious to me at all times: that the conflict is pointless and damaging, and it can be stopped instantly.

May God's Will be done. Period.

    Hugs,
    Betty
