Reflections

"Those who can not give up attachments to worldly things,
and who find no means to shake off the feeling of " I " should
rather cherish the idea:
'I am His servant: I am His devotee."

  1. This is a valuable reminder.

When I am remembering my purpose, I ask "What would You have me do, where would You have me go, what would You have me say, and to whom?"

    Hugs,
    Betty

  3. Hi Surjit,

    Thanks for sharing the quotes.

The bible also tells us to do so in 1 John 2:15-17: "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life--is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever."

    God bless
