A Thought To Ponder...

"Without Truth, Right conduct, Peace and Love, the accumulation of knowledge is a barren achievement. Without them, all our actions, even acts of charity and serving others are ineffective. Without them, positions of authority to which one is raised become positions of persecution. Without these values, no good act or meritorious achievements can yield fruit.."

  2. What is knowledge IF we keep it all to ourselves?

This way, NOBODY would reap the benefits of knowledge: either the seeker or others.

    Take care!!

  5. Hi Surjit...

Ohhh yes you are so right.

I would add that in some cases, knowledge without care, love, kindness, and wisdom is not only not worth much but can be quite harmful in some respects.

All knowledge has the potential for goodness and for harm.

I believe it is good to keep our knowledge in perspective and allow it to brighten not destroy life.

    Very nice thought Surjit,

    Jen

  15. Hi Surjit!

Thanks for sharing this profound post and great lesson!

Francis Bacon, Sr says: “It's not what we eat but what we digest that makes us strong; not what we gain but what we save that makes us rich; not what we read but what we remember that makes us learned; and not what we profess but what we practice that gives us integrity.”

A backstage worker told his friend, that he came to know that actors or actresses actually behave differently in front of their fans. When they are at the backstage, they are actually very tired and wanted the session with their fans to end as soon as possible!

Let's remember to be sincere in whatever we do after having the necessary knowledge.

    Blessings to you, Surjit.

  16. Hi Surjit,
    I love your new header.

It's like having all of the tools to be great and then misusing them to do harm, not only to us, but to our fellow travelers.

The reason for unfolding is to be unfolded, not have power, but the knowledge to live a better life.
