Barriers To Love...

"Whatever is in your heart which is not clean, not true, will ultimately begin to act like a wall, obstructing the natural flow of love.
People who say that there is no love in their life, are being blocked by this wall. Actually there is love, but they just cant accept it.
Ego is the clearest example of this. Ego limits the flow of love by placing conditions on the love you give and receive.
Ego uses love to satisfy its own needs and desires. It produces a love which is deceptive, one which brings only temporary satisfaction. Ego does not allow you to experience true love or share it.
If fact, ego is capable of destroying your ability to feel love altogether."

  1. Hi, Surjit!

How VERY true. Ego is a dangerous thing indeed and we have to be aware of its presence all the time so that we know what's more important in life.

  3. Good Thursday morning to you, Surjit.

There is truth there... Once when I was in pain, a man told me to be more loving in many small ways, to be more open, make more eye contact, smile more -- and then I would feel the love I felt was lacking. He was right...

Blessings to you for the energy that flows through here with such goodness,

    Loving Annie

  4. Surjit,
I echo the other comments. Ego is capable of doing a lot of damge to our Soul and love life. We can't even begin to imagine how ego has destoyed love, but once we recognize it, we can begin to put the pieces back together.

  15. Surjit, we all know that Ego is a wall which hampers us to be our true self.

But as a human being, we live with that Ego, every single hours, minutes even seconds, while at the same time we fight to break the wall.

Personally, am fighting every single minutes, seconds, with my Ego; sometimes I win, sometimes I lose.

We can not fight it alone, we need help, from the one who is always watching us from above....

  17. Hi Surjit,

Thanks for this great reminders! Indeed, till we have let go our ego, we won't experience true love or share it.

Ego can even destroy great friendship.

    Blessings to you, Surjit.

  19. Hi,

    You are right!
My past experience was as you describe. Both of us has own ego. At the end, we can not feel the love around us, although in depth there was still love between us.

Now, I just realize about this and restore the touch of love around me. But he still in the loop of cannot really love any things/ any one because of his ego. I'm keep praying for him day and night for one day he will leave ego and can feel the love around him, having peaceful and happiness in his life (as I'm now) @^o^@
