Reality

"Reality is what we take to be true. What we take to be true is what we believe. What we believe is based upon our perceptions. What we perceive depends upon what we look for. What we look for depends upon what we think. What we think depends upon what we perceive. What we perceive determines what we believe. What we believe determines what we take to be true. what we take to be true is our reality."

  2. And our reality can change when our perception does. We are always redefining our lives through our perception and that's the beauty of evolving. We grow, we learn, we grow again, we learn again.

  3. Hi Surjit,

Indeed, the reality of life is all about our perceptions. How we look at things.

"Two men look out a window. One sees mud, the other sees the stars." - Oscar Wilde.

May we learn to look at the world around us in a way that align to God's will.

    God Bless

  4. Hi Surjit!

Indeed the believe that we hold inside us will shape this world that we see.

Is the above from "The Seat of the Soul". I read this good book by Gary Zukav quite a few years back. A book full of insights.

    Thanks for sharing this.

    Blessings!

  5. Hi Surjit...

I like this so very much!

    I'm a "Zukav" fan as well... :-)

It is so easy to think our "reality" is ultimate reality, or to think how we perceive the world is how the world is pervceived by others.

This quote is a lovely reminder that there is more to "reality" than we often realize!

    Blessings to you Surjit,

    Jen

But some of us are looking at the stars"

  16. This is one of those quotes which tends to short-circuit my brain - which I suspect may be the intention! It doesn't know what to think any more so it shuts down and takes a rest - which leaves me free to enjoy the experience of simply being...

  17. I'm thinking of the rhyme that goes something like: round and round and round we go where we stop nobody knows. :-) Great post Surjit! You really hit the nail on the head!

  19. Surjit : At the end is our believe what bring us to reality, right ? While in fact, when we come to the "reality", we always forget that there's a thing name "believe' be the basis of all the reality.

No wonder "reality" have different meaning to every body...

  25. Excellent everybody has their own perception of the world, their own reality with their own truth. But I think even if the details are different we nearly all have the same general basic understanding of what is good and bad.

  26. Yes, you are right Marja. There are basic realities of life where we can't differ.
