Thought for Today

"When God takes away something from your hands, don't think He is punishing you.
Rather He is merely emptying your hands, for you to receive something better."
Have a nice weekend.

No doubt ur right, but we have to pray HIM for to give us patience, because lossing someone or something in life is very bad phase of life. We can't predict what will happen in future, so thats why we also feel bad if there is anything wrong happens in our life....Manpreet

  5. Hi Surjit,
    Thanks for this good thought!

    The bible tell us:
"My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? (Hebrews 12:5a-7)

  17. um... actually... Our Heavenly Father can't do anything unjustly... it says so in the bible... So accusing him of taking something away from you is false... If you remember the statement about how the world lies in the power of the "wicked one" (aka Satan). So from that knowledge we can assume that its not our Heavenly Father that is causing "our suffering" but "Satan and the insecurities of men". A good book, in the bible to back this statement on is the book of Job. In that book, Satan challenges God by saying that Job would curse God, if he lost all the things that were 'precious' to him. Satan asked God to strike Job with a misfortune, but our Heavenly Father refused (because he can't not act unjustly). God, however, allowed Satan to strike Job with misfortune (loss of family, fortune, etc) , even leprosy. God did this to allow Job to show Satan, Satan's Demons, the Angels (because they were watching from heaven) and other people, that he could keep his integrity and not curse God for his misfortune. To me, that is more comforting, than believing that my creator is placing misfortune and injustice on my life. That would be out of God's nature to act without love, patience, and justice. You should check out the book of Job... I think you would be touched.

  18. P.S. hope you aren't offended in anyway... I love seeing that other people are interested in the bible... After all, he created us... so why, should we neglect him.
