Faith

"After the Russian Revolution, atheism became a powerful movement all over the Soviet Union. Atheists set about to destroy all places of worships.
Temples, Churches, Mosques were systematically pulled down.

Enthused with the success of their 'achievement' the atheists crowed,"Where is God?"
In a remote village of Russia, an atheist came upon a poor old woman turning the beads of her rosary in pious worship.
"Throw away your rosary, you foolish woman!" he thundered. There is no God to hear your prayers.."
The old woman calmly gazed into his eyes.

"You may say what you please, brother!" she said gently."But everything in this world bears witness to His existence.
"you may close down temples, churches and mosques, but you can not extinguish the stars.
Every star bears witness to the truth that God is.."
What do you think?

  2. Dear surjit how very true..
"The atheists can't find God for the same reason that a thief can't find a policeman"
What are they afraid of? It is hard for a person with a very strong ego to admit that there is indeed a higher being than themselves....sometimes I think it is pure arrogance...that produces the lack of ability to acknowledge God. One must be able to be humbled...I myself am very grateful that God chose to put me through my trials...what a blessing to be chosen by God as one he wishes to temper into strong steel. Thank you so very much for your ever ending devotion to keep us inspired and also help us continue to find the strength to keep marching forward.~Jackie

  10. surjit,
its a nice way of thinking-that everything is god's creation.
but then, isnt pain god's creation too-like the stars?
and what about atheists? should they be condemned for they talk against him, who is their creator? and if he infact is their creator then howcome he never tried to reach them. with all his powers and all shouldn't he be able to approach them faster than their speed of running away?
also these atheists were not born with angst against god. the reason why they are atheists is because their prayers were not answered on more than one occassions.
and if god is god (with all his powers and all that) then why doesnt he resolve all issues for everyone before it gets unbearable?
i mean to say, to put someone on some kind of test as a learning lesson is one thing and to push him to a point of no return, a point of total discontent and depression is another.
so why would "god" push their test to the limit of them turning out to be aethists?

Its not easy to say that where the GOD lives, we alwyz say that Temples, Churches, Mosques are holy places, but we have to think that why still we are not able to feel HIM inside. HE is everywhere but to know HIM first u hv to know that the whole universe is creation of GOD....

  12. Hi Surjit,
A person who deny God can be liken to a person who deny that he/she has a parent who brought them to this world.

"The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork." - Psalms 19:1

There are so many things that bear witness to the truth that God is... and yet there are still so many who do not acknowledge this.

    Blessings to you, Surjit!

  16. Manpreet, you have asked a very vital question:
...'why still we are not able to feel HIM... ...
Because it is 'GUR PRASAD'.Only those who are blessed shall get this PRASAD.
    God bless you.

  19. Peace be to you surjit. It is easier to accept the truth if we understand it, but not so if you are in dark. May He bless you always.
